Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Family and Friends!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving before Matt and I leave for Minneapolis to spend the day with my Aunts Tracy, Ann, and Carrie and their family. I'll be back after the holiday to write all about my past month in North Dakota, including how my beloved car is adjusting to the cold as well as the joys of working in retail on the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Love,
Sara

Happy Turkey Day to you, too! Am so glad you were able to visit Ann and Carrie and see Jordan and meet Ben. Glad that Tracy was there too. Hope Matt had a good time. Thanksgiving = Family and Tradition.

Our Thanksgiving was small -- Grandpa Don and Grandma Jimmie, Aunt Mary and Rob. The plan was to eat early -- at 3:00. G and G arrived at 2:50 so they were ushered almost immediately into the dining room. Not very hospitable, but the Noble Bird waits for no one. We had the traditional meal -- in addition to the bird we had mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams (not from a can), lemon green beans, cranberry sauce, and dinner rolls. There was homemade apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Mary and Robert left at dessert to attend their neighbor's Croatian celebration, and G and G had departed by 6pm. With respect to the latter, both looked and sounded good. Grandpa is walking without aid of his walker again which is so good to see.

Patrick and I went to the 8:45pm showing of Harry Potter 4 in Roseville. The book came flooding back as I watched. All in all, a good day.

Today (Friday) we have rain. I read and slept all day long. Am anxious to know that you and Matt got home safely.

Good to hear from you...that Thanksgiving plans included a visit with some of family. We look forward to seeing Tracy in a couple of weeks...will spend a night with her while visiting at Irv & Alta's. We had "just family" but seated 15 for dinner. It was great to tie up with Michael Robert, who is now living in Reno. Hope to see more of him over the winter. I haven't updated my blog either -- too busy with local issues. Another story for another time. :-) Hugs to you. -Sherry
